Vista Projector Problems - insprion640m

Vista has multiple issues with projectors, for some it cant display anything at all, in others it displays distorted colors.

I searched online to find a fix-it, but was unable to find anything useful. Many suggested updating video drivers etc.. which that really does nothing for this problem. So i decided to try and fix it myself. The following details how to fix minor distortions..

Alot of Dell's vista models have a tendency of reseting the resolution after hibernating/sleeping which screws up icon arrangement. Not a major problem, however it is related to the reason why projectors get screwed up with vista.

When a projector or secondary monitor is plugged in with a dell notebook, it resets resolution and color quality. The easy solution is just to right click>graphic properties>display settings> and adjust the color quality & resolution. For projectors: 32bits for color & a resolution of 1024x768 seems to look the best. Assuming you don't replug ur secondary display devices too often, this shouldn't proove too taxing.
