Glitter lamps?

Was wondering how or why exactly a lava lamp does what it does. Here's what I found out: The insides of lava lamps contain colored water and wax. When the wax gets hot enough it expands, and so it floats to the top of the lamp. On it's journey to the top, it loses its's head and shrinks. As it shrinks, it falls down again to the bottom of the lamp. *Repeat*

The lamp is awesome! And it has stars and all...I really like it a lot, lot, lot. Thank you.
